Michal Hrcka

~ Michal is a founder of company (Obnova inc.) that is mostly concerned with restoration and conservation of historical facades, interiors and castles using traditional materials and techniques. In this company, they work as monument researchers, traditional architecture constructors, conservators, restorers, renewal and building reconstruction professionals.

~ Since 2012 he is authorized as site manager at The Slovak Chamber of Civil Engineers (No. 12273*10*). Since 2009 he is a member of ArTUR - Architecture for Sustainable Development. 2008 become a member of INTBAU - International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism. Since 2004 he is a founder and chairman of the civic association named Association for Monuments, Slovakia. 2004 become a member of Slovak genealogy and heraldry association. 2003 become a member of ICOMOS Slovakia (International Council on Monuments and Sites)

~ He is participated as a lector at numerous international conferences and seminars focussing on art crafts, monument conservation, traditional materials and technologies and protection of castle ruins and their revitalisation)

~ In the year 2000 he established an internet magazine about cultural heritage www.obnova.sk, which is the biggest internet medium at this field now. The Ministry of Culture of the Slovak republic and The National Board for Monuments and Sites awarded Webzine Obnova.sk with the price of Monuments and Museums in category Film-Audio-Video-Multimedia work for 2005.
